Fake employees
fraud
Did you know that your bank never asks you for your credentials or for the PIN of your bank card in its communications?

Who am I talking to?
Fraudsters may impersonate employees of your bank, the police, or other official agencies like ItsMe or Card Stop to deceive you.
These scammers often call you, claiming there is suspected fraud on your account. They may offer to visit your home to “secure” your bank cards and other valuables, taking advantage of the situation to steal them.
Their goal is to obtain your PINs, and they may also ask you to install software or transfer money to a supposedly secure account. These fraudsters often target the elderly.
Tips to recognise / avoid trusting fake employees or officials

Unexpected contact
A supposed bank employee, police officer, ItsMe officer or other official contacts you unexpectedly, claiming that fraud has been committed on your account.

Urgent action
Fraudsters insist that immediate action is required. They may offer to come directly to your home or ask you to take urgent steps.

Secret codes
Fraudsters request your secret codes, such as your bank card PIN or codes generated by your card reader, via phone, video interview, or in-person visit. Never provide your secrets codes to anyone.
