Will I receive an Investment Account Tax statement when I close the relationship?

If you closed the relationship with MeDirect between 10 March 2018 and 30 September 2018, you will receive an Investment Account Tax statement of the closed Investment account(s) by regular post before the end of November 2018. In this case you may send us an “opt-in” instruction before 30 November via email to info@medirect.be. You will be provided with further instructions on how you can transfer the tax to MeDirect. Afterwards, MeDirect will pay the tax to the Belgian Tax Authorities on your behalf.

If you closed the relationship with MeDirect after 30 September 2018, MeDirect will compose the Investment Account Tax statement of the closed investment account(s) by the end of the month following the account closure. The Investment Account Tax statement will be sent by post. In this case you may send us an “opt-in” instruction until the end of the second month following the month of account closure via email to info@medirect.be. You will be provided with further instructions on how you can transfer the tax to MeDirect. Afterwards, MeDirect will pay the tax to the Belgian Tax Authorities on your behalf.

Please note that “opt-in” instructions will be deemed invalid if MeDirect did not receive any instructions and payment before the stipulated deadline set out in the Investment Account Tax statement.
